Hello, Suzanne!

I confirm my email is:
lgwilliamchapman@me.com

If you have someone (anyone anywhere whosoever) take a photo of you, they can then send it to me by email. You could ask anyone in the apartment building to do so. It will only take a moment. Then I’ll have it to add to your article I’m preparing.

You will of course have to make a note of my email address to provide it to the photographer!  So please write it down now on a scrap of paper and put it in your purse.

Bill

Sounds like a good idea.  Or you would be welcome here, when I could show you my slightly less over crowded living area !

My Apple computer has somewhat changed, at times it's driving me "nuts"!

I have tried what you suggested but it's not a simple thing to do!  Neither of my computers will forward the photo's, or I can't find them.

Sorry.

Stand in front of a mirror then take a photo of yourself.  Send it to me. It will edit it so there is no concern about quality.

More memories, which I'm sure Franz F's daughter was too young for her to remember. On a few afternoons over a period of several weeks, I would babysit said two young children  In A.G.H. Cafeteria, whilst their dear Mother attended her Dr's appointments. They would scribble artistic pictures on provided paper, I would read and show a few of Ian's children's books; namely "Richard Scarry" all beautifully drawn pictures of different lives and activities.

Enjoy your At Home weekend.

Well, it was very amusing, you really became deeply involved in an appropriate Senior's Moment, or should I say "a quarter of an hour "!!  I know exactly where the said houses still stand.  In fact, around 2pm today I took a wrong turn and drove past the old Land Registry Office and wondered what would become of the old building.

I remember a few years ago it was completely cleared out of hundreds of old boxes etc. Now I'm trying to remember who, in later years, lived  in Dear old Rev Bickley's Tiny abode; maybe it was a lady who used to volunteer in AGH  but finally died.

You have known so many people over your long Lawyer's  years , no wonder you can nowadays easily mistake people.

Rest well and have a final laugh re: this morning!

Don't know all that really is, so I shall just delete.

You obviously had an uncomfortable twenty four hours, lack of sleep can make us all miserable and sometimes "bad tempered", without any other problems.

Last Fall I decided that driving into the once pleasant smallish city was no longer a safe place for me. I used to buy all my Gluten and Lactose Free foods from Costco, some of which I can now purchase in Almonte.  However I now have to rely on several friends to pick-up what I need, or ask for a drive.

My present refrigerator is rather small and will not hold enough of my special cheeses which I can only buy at said Store.

Warm socks are something I have to wear at night when the sheets are cold and 'feet cramps" keep me awake ! After my two long drives this last weekend to the
special Dump, I was totally exhausted; Sunday night I slept for 10 1/2 hours without moving, Monday after eating  each meal I slept again for another two hours by Tuesday morning I was ready to finally stay awake!!  I certainly felt it was not advisable to do it again at my old age.

I just finished covering up all my balcony plants , the overnight temperature is forecast to be very cold for August.

I haven't found any photos for you on my computer but I do have printed ones.

Sleep well.  Pleasant dreams.

Bill, I will see if any photos are on either of my computers. Oh ! Then I have to ask "how to forward ".  It will take time; also I admit to being totally exhausted after the last few days of travels.

So today, no cooking, cleaning or sewing; just trying to relax on the balcony, while watching the last of my unripe tiny tomatoes ripen in a glass bowl!

Take care. Suzanne

I vaguely remember hearing Patti Page sing on the radio in England,  Had to be 1950's.

I often wanted to see Cape Cod.  We missed out on that on our tour of USA and Mexico in 1962. I just read all the names on the map. Almost all of England's wellknown ones from centuries ago.

I too, used to enjoy the sounds of the pipes and drums in the distance when I lived on Country St.; again when I was at the Farmer's Market for the Hospital Auxiliary. In August 1998 Tony and I rented a house on Water Street, recently renovated by Wilson Basisle!  At that time we had all of Tony's young grandchildren plus parents to watch most of the Highland games.  Afterwards Tony asked the children "which parts did you like best"?  In one loud voice they all.said "the music"!

Even Katey's youngest boy still remembers "A lot of loud Noise"! This he told me when staying here a few weeks ago, now aged 28!

Where have all the years gone! It's nice to be back in Almonte again, but...all the Main streets have changed so much, Mill street's only 3 places remain the same:

Post Office, Bank of Montreal and Superior Restaurant. C'est la Vie!

I enjoyed my drive to McDonald's Corner, only to find they were closed this afternoon; tomorrow after St.G's 11am Morning Service and Coffee hour I shall attend Union Hall's Blueberry Tea 2-4 pm, then drive through Middleville , Herron Rd to Lanark, to McD's Corner's, Open Sundays 2 pm - 7pm,  This will be a shorter route than to-day's Wolfgrove Rd to Hopetown, left turn to Watson's Corner to Dalhousie Lake, onto McD's Corner.

The trunk of my car is full, plus a few items on the back seats,  I certainly will be pleased to see the end of it all!

Enjoy to-morrow's sun, today was a perfect English summer's day, Sunday should be the same.

Funny how it happens...

I agree with you.

But.....on the other side, I will say " Sad how it happens".   Looking back on a few things, 3 in particular, extremely Sad.

Somehow we manage to survive; become, hopefully a better person and in the end call it all experience.

For me another busy day, then a trip through the local countryside to MacDonald's Corners (somewhat different) DUMP! removing a few un-needed articles for others to use. for Free.

Enjoy a beautiful warm sunny day.

Sorry Bill, I understand that not everyone can enjoy the beauty and accomplishment of many gardens. It is lovely to occasionally view large green swords from a distance, especially if one lives in a large city.  However, having grown up helping a Father grow flowers, fruits and vegetables in several different properties.I appear to have followed suit!  Also, in 1940 when Daddy volunteered in the R.A.F for 5 years, I was the one from that early age, to take over every thing to grow, including, mowing large lawns. My dear Mummy hadn't a clue how to do anything outside, so she just left it all to me. She was an excellent cook, especially with extremely short "Rations".

Now it is time for me to phone my Grandson, Alexander for his 18th Birthday tomorrow and wish him the very best of luck entering his whole new life; joining Acadia U's Special swimming team, and 4 years of studies, in Kinesiology and Biology, also still training for 2028 Olympics.

Enjoy your beautiful views.
