A good night's sleep is the best achievement for which we can all hope. Your Father certainly had a good long life, that fact should help you, even though you cannot walk as far.
Bruce Farm, was that, the now old, Experimental Farm ? While living in Parkwood Hills I was a neighbour of "Dr Oats’s daughter - another name to search ! However I do remember the Civic Hospital tried to buy that land from the Federal Government Office. During those month's "Dr Oats" was allowed to remove portions of the Experiment Farm to land further S.W. of the City, where many of the experimental "Oats" were first grown. I still have a copy of the Ottawa Citizen's publication of "Dr Oats" final retirement somewhere in one of my boxes Noted "Treasures"!
Maybe I need more good night's sleep to remember so many names , some of which I remember a few hours later, but others appear to be forever lost!
