Wonderful stories of Almonte, many of the people of whom I met soon after I arrived in Almonte, August 1, 1978, son Ian, nearly 10 and Graham just 4. Peter, driving every weekday to Atomic Energy. I think I told you the story of that first weekend when the sewer backed up in the downstairs bathroom. Jim Macgregor discovered why he always had such great vegetables and lawn. The plumbing had never been attached to the main Town sewer in the 1930's; the J.M Family home was on the other corner of Brae and Farm St!!
